Russia’s Trade with Venezuela
In the 3rd quarter of 2018, Russia’s trade with Venezuela totaled $25,080,562, up 2.28% ($559,602) from the 3rd quarter of 2017.
Russia’s exports to Venezuela in the 3rd quarter of 2018 totaled $24,926,527, up 2.58% ($627,391) from the 3rd quarter of 2017.
Russia’s imports from Venezuela in the 3rd quarter of 2018 were $154,035, down 30.56% ($67,789) from the 3rd quarter of 2017.
Russia’s trade surplus with Venezuela in the 3rd quarter of 2018 was $24,772,492, a 2.89% increase ($695,180) over the 3rd quarter of 2017.
Venezuela was Russia’s 121st largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (down from 114th in the 3rd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.0146% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.0168% in the 3rd quarter of 2017).
Venezuela was Russia’s 103rd largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (down from 101st in the 3rd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.0222% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.0285% in the 3rd quarter of 2017).
Venezuela was Russia’s 145th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (up from 146th in the 3rd quarter of 2017), accounting for 0.0003% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0004% in the 3rd quarter of 2017).
Russia’s Exports to Venezuela
The major share of Russian exports to Venezuela in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:
- Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 96.30% of Russia’s total exports to Venezuela (81.50% in the 3rd quarter of 2017);
- Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 1.60% of Russia’s total exports to Venezuela (0.00% in the 3rd quarter of 2017);
- Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 1.09% of Russia’s total exports to Venezuela (15.40% in the 3rd quarter of 2017);
- Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 0.10% of Russia’s total exports to Venezuela (2.24% in the 3rd quarter of 2017).

Russia’s Imports from Venezuela
The major share of Russian imports from Venezuela in the 3rd quarter of 2018 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2017) was accounted for the following product types:
- Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 73.40% of Russia’s total imports from Venezuela (79.96% in the 3rd quarter of 2017);
- Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 8.13% of Russia’s total imports from Venezuela (8.75% in the 3rd quarter of 2017);
- Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 0.87% of Russia’s total imports from Venezuela (10.92% in the 3rd quarter of 2017).
