Russia’s Trade with Argentina
In the 2nd quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with Argentina was $387,134,331, down 10.25% ($44,194,102) from the 2nd quarter of 2018.
Russia’s exports to Argentina in the 2nd quarter of 2019 were $132,619,005, down 17.13% ($27,414,142) from the 2nd quarter of 2018.
Russia’s imports from Argentina in the 2nd quarter of 2019 were $254,515,326, down 6.19% ($16,779,960) from the 2nd quarter of 2018.
Russia’s trade deficit with Argentina in the 2nd quarter of 2019 was $121,896,321, a 9.56% increase ($10,634,182) over the 2nd quarter of 2018.
Argentina was Russia’s 58th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (down from 53rd in the 2nd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.2418% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.2524% in the 2nd quarter of 2018).
Argentina was Russia’s 66th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (up from 69th in the 2nd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.1316% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.1452% in the 2nd quarter of 2018).
Argentina was Russia’s 39th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (down from 38th in the 2nd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.4290% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.4469% in the 2nd quarter of 2018).
Russia’s Exports to Argentina
The major share of Russian exports to Argentina in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:
- Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 85.75% of Russia’s total exports to Argentina (82.49% in the 2nd quarter of 2018);
- Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 9.74% of Russia’s total exports to Argentina (11.48% in the 2nd quarter of 2018);
- Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 1.65% of Russia’s total exports to Argentina (1.11% in the 2nd quarter of 2018);
