Russia’s Trade with Indonesia

In the 2nd quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with Indonesia was $567,970,476, down 3.23% ($18,936,524) from the 2nd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s exports to Indonesia in the 2nd quarter of 2019 were $154,581,548, down 21.12% ($41,379,460) from the 2nd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s imports from Indonesia in the 2nd quarter of 2019 totaled $413,388,928, up 5.74% ($22,442,936) from the 2nd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s trade deficit with Indonesia in the 2nd quarter of 2019 was $258,807,380, a 32.73% increase ($63,822,396) over the 2nd quarter of 2018.

Indonesia was Russia’s 46th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (down from 43rd in the 2nd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.3548% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.3434% in the 2nd quarter of 2018).

Indonesia was Russia’s 63rd largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (down from 61st in the 2nd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.1534% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.1778% in the 2nd quarter of 2018).

Indonesia was Russia’s 30th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (just as in the 2nd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.6968% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.6440% in the 2nd quarter of 2018).

Russia’s Exports to Indonesia

The major share of Russian exports to Indonesia in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 34.10% of Russia’s total exports to Indonesia (16.73% in the 2nd quarter of 2018);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 31.21% of Russia’s total exports to Indonesia (31.70% in the 2nd quarter of 2018);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 21.22% of Russia’s total exports to Indonesia (16.37% in the 2nd quarter of 2018);
  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 10.96% of Russia’s total exports to Indonesia (3.66% in the 2nd quarter of 2018);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 1.82% of Russia’s total exports to Indonesia (1.27% in the 2nd quarter of 2018);

Russia’s Imports from Indonesia
