Russia’s Trade with the Czech Republic

In the 2nd quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with the Czech Republic was $2,087,654,540, down 6.15% ($136,838,866) from the 2nd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s exports to the Czech Republic in the 2nd quarter of 2019 were $1,181,415,134, down 6.94% ($88,088,405) from the 2nd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s imports from the Czech Republic in the 2nd quarter of 2019 were $906,239,406, down 5.10% ($48,750,461) from the 2nd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s trade surplus with the Czech Republic in the 2nd quarter of 2019 was $275,175,728, a 12.51% decrease ($39,337,944) over the 2nd quarter of 2018.

The Czech Republic was Russia’s 18th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (just as in the 2nd quarter of 2018), accounting for 1.3041% of Russia’s total trade (up from 1.3015% in the 2nd quarter of 2018).

The Czech Republic was Russia’s 20th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (just as in the 2nd quarter of 2018), accounting for 1.1725% of Russia’s total exports (up from 1.1520% in the 2nd quarter of 2018).

The Czech Republic was Russia’s 17th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (down from 15th in the 2nd quarter of 2018), accounting for 1.5276% of Russia’s total imports (down from 1.5731% in the 2nd quarter of 2018).

Russia’s Exports to the Czech Republic

The major share of Russian exports to the Czech Republic in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 60.92% of Russia’s total exports to the Czech Republic (67.23% in the 2nd quarter of 2018);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 12.09% of Russia’s total exports to the Czech Republic (12.17% in the 2nd quarter of 2018);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 8.20% of Russia’s total exports to the Czech Republic (8.17% in the 2nd quarter of 2018);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 5.31% of Russia’s total exports to the Czech Republic (7.87% in the 2nd quarter of 2018);
