Russia’s Trade with the Dominican Republic

In the 2nd quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with the Dominican Republic was $24,806,909, down 40.57% ($16,932,718) from the 2nd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s exports to the Dominican Republic in the 2nd quarter of 2019 were $16,606,345, down 53.05% ($18,760,726) from the 2nd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s imports from the Dominican Republic in the 2nd quarter of 2019 totaled $8,200,564, up 28.69% ($1,828,008) from the 2nd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s trade surplus with the Dominican Republic in the 2nd quarter of 2019 was $8,405,781, a 71.01% decrease ($20,588,734) over the 2nd quarter of 2018.

The Dominican Republic was Russia’s 113th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (down from 106th in the 2nd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0155% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.0244% in the 2nd quarter of 2018).

The Dominican Republic was Russia’s 107th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (down from 95th in the 2nd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0165% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.0321% in the 2nd quarter of 2018).

The Dominican Republic was Russia’s 100th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (up from 102nd in the 2nd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0138% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0105% in the 2nd quarter of 2018).

Russia’s Exports to the Dominican Republic

The major share of Russian exports to the Dominican Republic in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 73.80% of Russia’s total exports to the Dominican Republic (85.88% in the 2nd quarter of 2018);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 20.05% of Russia’s total exports to the Dominican Republic (10.41% in the 2nd quarter of 2018);
  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 2.84% of Russia’s total exports to the Dominican Republic (2.09% in the 2nd quarter of 2018);
  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 2.54% of Russia’s total exports to the Dominican Republic (1.29% in the 2nd quarter of 2018).

Russia’s Imports from the Dominican Republic

The major share of Russian imports from the Dominican Republic in the 2nd quarter of 2019 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:
