Russia’s Trade with Mexico
In the 3rd quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with Mexico was $669,639,834, down 19.28% ($159,930,792) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.
Russia’s exports to Mexico in the 3rd quarter of 2019 were $371,087,786, down 33.35% ($185,697,609) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.
Russia’s imports from Mexico in the 3rd quarter of 2019 totaled $298,552,048, up 9.45% ($25,766,817) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.
Russia’s trade surplus with Mexico in the 3rd quarter of 2019 was $72,535,738, a 74.46% decrease ($211,464,426) over the 3rd quarter of 2018.
Mexico was Russia’s 41st largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (down from 38th in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.4037% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.4821% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).
Mexico was Russia’s 46th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (down from 38th in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.3592% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.4963% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).
Mexico was Russia’s 36th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (down from 34th in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.4773% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.4556% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).
Russia’s Exports to Mexico
The major share of Russian exports to Mexico in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:
- Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 63.65% of Russia’s total exports to Mexico (76.00% in the 3rd quarter of 2018);
- Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 23.81% of Russia’s total exports to Mexico (8.61% in the 3rd quarter of 2018);
- Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 6.29% of Russia’s total exports to Mexico (1.07% in the 3rd quarter of 2018);
- Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 3.96% of Russia’s total exports to Mexico (11.99% in the 3rd quarter of 2018);
- Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 1.58% of Russia’s total exports to Mexico (1.40% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).
