Russia’s Trade with Sudan

In the 3rd quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with Sudan was $99,450,953, down 10.66% ($11,866,165) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s exports to Sudan in the 3rd quarter of 2019 were $98,968,846, down 11.03% ($12,270,821) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s imports from Sudan in the 3rd quarter of 2019 totaled $482,107, up 522.47% ($404,656) from the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Russia’s trade surplus with Sudan in the 3rd quarter of 2019 was $98,486,739, a 11.40% decrease ($12,675,477) over the 3rd quarter of 2018.

Sudan was Russia’s 83rd largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (just as in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0600% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.0647% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

Sudan was Russia’s 76th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (down from 75th in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0958% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.0991% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

Sudan was Russia’s 140th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2019 (up from 149th in the 3rd quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0008% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0001% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

Russia’s Imports from Sudan

  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 86.75% of Russia’s total imports from Sudan (0.00% in the 3rd quarter of 2018);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 12.82% of Russia’s total imports from Sudan (66.79% in the 3rd quarter of 2018).

The largest gains in Russia’s imports from Sudan in the 3rd quarter of 2019 over the 3rd quarter of 2018 were recorded for the following product groups:
