Russia’s Trade with Cyprus

In the 4th quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with Cyprus was $142,903,915, down 60.10% ($215,241,977) from the 4th quarter of 2018.

Russia’s exports to Cyprus in the 4th quarter of 2019 were $133,629,480, down 62.11% ($219,019,834) from the 4th quarter of 2018.

Russia’s imports from Cyprus in the 4th quarter of 2019 totaled $9,274,435, up 68.73% ($3,777,857) from the 4th quarter of 2018.

Russia’s trade surplus with Cyprus in the 4th quarter of 2019 was $124,355,045, a 64.18% decrease ($222,797,691) over the 4th quarter of 2018.

Cyprus was Russia’s 78th largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2019 (down from 63rd in the 4th quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0794% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.1917% in the 4th quarter of 2018).

Cyprus was Russia’s 67th largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2019 (down from 50th in the 4th quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.1195% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.2833% in the 4th quarter of 2018).

Cyprus was Russia’s 98th largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2019 (up from 110th in the 4th quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0136% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0088% in the 4th quarter of 2018).

Russia’s Exports to Cyprus

The major share of Russian exports to Cyprus in the 4th quarter of 2019 (and in the 4th quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 68.39% of Russia’s total exports to Cyprus (56.77% in the 4th quarter of 2018);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 9.96% of Russia’s total exports to Cyprus (0.56% in the 4th quarter of 2018);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 5.43% of Russia’s total exports to Cyprus (3.45% in the 4th quarter of 2018);

  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - a decrease of $106,117,115;
  • Aluminum and articles thereof (HS code 76) - a decrease of $3,359,824;
  • Salt; sulfur; earths and stone; plastering materials, lime and cement (HS code 25) - a decrease of $2,712,773;
  • Cereals (HS code 10) - a decrease of $2,334,016;
  • Zinc and articles thereof (HS code 79) - a decrease of $1,774,592;
  • Nickel and articles thereof (HS code 75) - a decrease of $734,132;
