Russia’s Trade with Ireland

In the 4th quarter of 2019, Russia’s trade with Ireland was $562,827,422, down 1.80% ($10,324,768) from the 4th quarter of 2018.

Russia’s exports to Ireland in the 4th quarter of 2019 were $81,047,369, down 61.76% ($130,888,392) from the 4th quarter of 2018.

Russia’s imports from Ireland in the 4th quarter of 2019 totaled $481,780,053, up 33.38% ($120,563,624) from the 4th quarter of 2018.

Russia’s trade deficit with Ireland in the 4th quarter of 2019 was $400,732,684, a 168.44% increase ($251,452,016) over the 4th quarter of 2018.

Ireland was Russia’s 50th largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2019 (down from 47th in the 4th quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.3129% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.3068% in the 4th quarter of 2018).

Ireland was Russia’s 74th largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2019 (down from 63rd in the 4th quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.0725% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.1702% in the 4th quarter of 2018).

Ireland was Russia’s 29th largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2019 (up from 32nd in the 4th quarter of 2018), accounting for 0.7082% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.5794% in the 4th quarter of 2018).

Russia’s Exports to Ireland

The major share of Russian exports to Ireland in the 4th quarter of 2019 (and in the 4th quarter of 2018) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 8.35% of Russia’s total exports to Ireland (6.73% in the 4th quarter of 2018);
