Russia’s Trade with Azerbaijan
In the 1st quarter of 2020, Russia’s trade with Azerbaijan totaled $660,813,324, up 17.71% ($99,408,936) from the 1st quarter of 2019.
Russia’s exports to Azerbaijan in the 1st quarter of 2020 totaled $498,811,731, up 21.19% ($87,227,782) from the 1st quarter of 2019.
Russia’s imports from Azerbaijan in the 1st quarter of 2020 totaled $162,001,593, up 8.13% ($12,181,154) from the 1st quarter of 2019.
Russia’s trade surplus with Azerbaijan in the 1st quarter of 2020 was $336,810,138, a 28.67% increase ($75,046,628) over the 1st quarter of 2019.
Azerbaijan was Russia’s 41st largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2020 (up from 46th in the 1st quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.4649% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.3566% in the 1st quarter of 2019).
Azerbaijan was Russia’s 35th largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2020 (up from 42nd in the 1st quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.5606% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.3943% in the 1st quarter of 2019).
Azerbaijan was Russia’s 47th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2020 (up from 49th in the 1st quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.3048% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.2824% in the 1st quarter of 2019).
Russia’s Exports to Azerbaijan
The major share of Russian exports to Azerbaijan in the 1st quarter of 2020 (and in the 1st quarter of 2019) was accounted for the following product types:
- Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 26.62% of Russia’s total exports to Azerbaijan (27.44% in the 1st quarter of 2019);
- Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 16.79% of Russia’s total exports to Azerbaijan (17.24% in the 1st quarter of 2019);
