Russia’s Trade with Croatia

In the 1st quarter of 2020, Russia’s trade with Croatia was $244,046,838, down 58.71% ($347,011,571) from the 1st quarter of 2019.

Russia’s exports to Croatia in the 1st quarter of 2020 were $212,475,650, down 60.88% ($330,727,919) from the 1st quarter of 2019.

Russia’s imports from Croatia in the 1st quarter of 2020 were $31,571,188, down 34.03% ($16,283,652) from the 1st quarter of 2019.

Russia’s trade surplus with Croatia in the 1st quarter of 2020 was $180,904,462, a 63.48% decrease ($314,444,267) over the 1st quarter of 2019.

Croatia was Russia’s 65th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2020 (down from 44th in the 1st quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.1717% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.3755% in the 1st quarter of 2019).

Croatia was Russia’s 55th largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2020 (down from 35th in the 1st quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.2388% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.5204% in the 1st quarter of 2019).

Croatia was Russia’s 79th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2020 (down from 72nd in the 1st quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.0594% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0902% in the 1st quarter of 2019).

Russia’s Exports to Croatia

The major share of Russian exports to Croatia in the 1st quarter of 2020 (and in the 1st quarter of 2019) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 90.07% of Russia’s total exports to Croatia (91.33% in the 1st quarter of 2019);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 7.23% of Russia’s total exports to Croatia (7.11% in the 1st quarter of 2019);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 1.51% of Russia’s total exports to Croatia (0.66% in the 1st quarter of 2019).

The largest gains in Russia’s exports to Croatia in the 1st quarter of 2020 over the 1st quarter of 2019 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Fertilizers (HS code 31) - a decrease of $713,739.

Russia’s Imports from Croatia

The major share of Russian imports from Croatia in the 1st quarter of 2020 (and in the 1st quarter of 2019) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 39.96% of Russia’s total imports from Croatia (18.68% in the 1st quarter of 2019);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 27.53% of Russia’s total imports from Croatia (33.99% in the 1st quarter of 2019);
  • Textiles, textile products and footwear (HS codes 50-67) - 13.69% of Russia’s total imports from Croatia (8.98% in the 1st quarter of 2019);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 8.73% of Russia’s total imports from Croatia (4.37% in the 1st quarter of 2019);
