Russia’s Trade with Greece

In the 1st quarter of 2020, Russia’s trade with Greece totaled $1,043,906,237, up 4.52% ($45,116,676) from the 1st quarter of 2019.

Russia’s exports to Greece in the 1st quarter of 2020 totaled $997,600,638, up 5.24% ($49,634,277) from the 1st quarter of 2019.

Russia’s imports from Greece in the 1st quarter of 2020 were $46,305,599, down 8.89% ($4,517,601) from the 1st quarter of 2019.

Russia’s trade surplus with Greece in the 1st quarter of 2020 was $951,295,039, a 6.04% increase ($54,151,878) over the 1st quarter of 2019.

Greece was Russia’s 29th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2020 (up from 33rd in the 1st quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.7344% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.6345% in the 1st quarter of 2019).

The major share of Russian exports to Greece in the 1st quarter of 2020 (and in the 1st quarter of 2019) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 1.33% of Russia’s total exports to Greece (0.17% in the 1st quarter of 2019);
