Russia’s Trade with Israel

In the 1st quarter of 2020, Russia’s trade with Israel was $491,259,425, down 26.00% ($172,575,487) from the 1st quarter of 2019.

Russia’s exports to Israel in the 1st quarter of 2020 were $258,470,940, down 42.76% ($193,110,661) from the 1st quarter of 2019.

Russia’s imports from Israel in the 1st quarter of 2020 totaled $232,788,485, up 9.67% ($20,535,174) from the 1st quarter of 2019.

Russia’s trade surplus with Israel in the 1st quarter of 2020 was $25,682,455, a 89.27% decrease ($213,645,835) over the 1st quarter of 2019.

Israel was Russia’s 47th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2020 (down from 40th in the 1st quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.3456% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.4217% in the 1st quarter of 2019).

Israel was Russia’s 52nd largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2020 (down from 40th in the 1st quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.2905% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.4326% in the 1st quarter of 2019).

Israel was Russia’s 37th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2020 (up from 38th in the 1st quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.4379% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.4002% in the 1st quarter of 2019).

Russia’s Exports to Israel

The major share of Russian exports to Israel in the 1st quarter of 2020 (and in the 1st quarter of 2019) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 16.71% of Russia’s total exports to Israel (10.40% in the 1st quarter of 2019);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 10.34% of Russia’s total exports to Israel (4.98% in the 1st quarter of 2019);
