Russia’s Trade with Algeria
In the 2nd quarter of 2020, Russia’s trade with Algeria totaled $675,537,752, up 69.04% ($275,910,996) from the 2nd quarter of 2019.
Russia’s exports to Algeria in the 2nd quarter of 2020 totaled $673,291,946, up 69.50% ($276,079,360) from the 2nd quarter of 2019.
Russia’s imports from Algeria in the 2nd quarter of 2020 were $2,245,806, down 6.97% ($168,364) from the 2nd quarter of 2019.
Russia’s trade surplus with Algeria in the 2nd quarter of 2020 was $671,046,140, a 69.97% increase ($276,247,724) over the 2nd quarter of 2019.
Algeria was Russia’s 33rd largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2020 (up from 56th in the 2nd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.5537% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.2496% in the 2nd quarter of 2019).
Algeria was Russia’s 22nd largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2020 (up from 42nd in the 2nd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.9630% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.3942% in the 2nd quarter of 2019).
Algeria was Russia’s 117th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2020 (up from 121st in the 2nd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.0043% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0041% in the 2nd quarter of 2019).
Russia’s Exports to Algeria
The major share of Russian exports to Algeria in the 2nd quarter of 2020 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2019) was accounted for the following product types:
- Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 63.54% of Russia’s total exports to Algeria (9.88% in the 2nd quarter of 2019);
- Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 7.33% of Russia’s total exports to Algeria (16.99% in the 2nd quarter of 2019);
