Russia’s Trade with Italy

In the 2nd quarter of 2020, Russia’s trade with Italy was $3,914,643,583, down 35.20% ($2,126,872,300) from the 2nd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s exports to Italy in the 2nd quarter of 2020 were $1,850,090,944, down 46.20% ($1,588,704,557) from the 2nd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s imports from Italy in the 2nd quarter of 2020 were $2,064,552,639, down 20.68% ($538,167,743) from the 2nd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s trade balance with Italy went from a surplus of $836,075,119 in the 2nd quarter of 2019, to a deficit of $214,461,695 in the 2nd quarter of 2020.

Italy was Russia’s 10th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2020 (down from 7th in the 2nd quarter of 2019), accounting for 3.2085% of Russia’s total trade (down from 3.7739% in the 2nd quarter of 2019).

Italy was Russia’s 11th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2020 (down from 8th in the 2nd quarter of 2019), accounting for 2.6461% of Russia’s total exports (down from 3.4127% in the 2nd quarter of 2019).

Italy was Russia’s 5th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2020 (just as in the 2nd quarter of 2019), accounting for 3.9636% of Russia’s total imports (down from 4.3873% in the 2nd quarter of 2019).

Russia’s Exports to Italy

The major share of Russian exports to Italy in the 2nd quarter of 2020 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2019) was accounted for the following product types:
