Russia’s Trade with Taiwan
In the 2nd quarter of 2020, Russia’s trade with Taiwan was $1,153,171,932, down 11.63% ($151,785,908) from the 2nd quarter of 2019.
Russia’s exports to Taiwan in the 2nd quarter of 2020 were $758,728,511, down 6.88% ($56,098,867) from the 2nd quarter of 2019.
Russia’s imports from Taiwan in the 2nd quarter of 2020 were $394,443,421, down 19.52% ($95,687,041) from the 2nd quarter of 2019.
Russia’s trade surplus with Taiwan in the 2nd quarter of 2020 was $364,285,090, a 12.19% increase ($39,588,174) over the 2nd quarter of 2019.
Taiwan was Russia’s 22nd largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2020 (up from 27th in the 2nd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.9452% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.8151% in the 2nd quarter of 2019).
Taiwan was Russia’s 19th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2020 (up from 27th in the 2nd quarter of 2019), accounting for 1.0852% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.8086% in the 2nd quarter of 2019).
Taiwan was Russia’s 28th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2020 (down from 27th in the 2nd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.7573% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.8262% in the 2nd quarter of 2019).
Russia’s Exports to Taiwan
The major share of Russian exports to Taiwan in the 2nd quarter of 2020 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2019) was accounted for the following product types:
- Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 51.96% of Russia’s total exports to Taiwan (51.31% in the 2nd quarter of 2019);
- Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 42.85% of Russia’s total exports to Taiwan (42.86% in the 2nd quarter of 2019);
- Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 3.44% of Russia’s total exports to Taiwan (3.99% in the 2nd quarter of 2019).
The largest gains in Russia’s exports to Taiwan in the 2nd quarter of 2020 over the 2nd quarter of 2019 were recorded for the following product groups:
- Aluminum and articles thereof (HS code 76) - an increase of $6,298,192.
The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Taiwan in the 2nd quarter of 2020 over the 2nd quarter of 2019 were recorded for the following product groups:
