The Report on Russia’s foreign trade in goods with the Philippines in the second quarter of 2020: exports, imports, products, dynamics.
Russia’s Trade with the Philippines
In the 2nd quarter of 2020, Russia’s trade with the Philippines was $166,943,986, down 15.06% ($29,605,146) from the 2nd quarter of 2019.
Russia’s exports to the Philippines in the 2nd quarter of 2020 were $95,342,691, down 7.03% ($7,212,532) from the 2nd quarter of 2019.
Russia’s imports from the Philippines in the 2nd quarter of 2020 were $71,601,295, down 23.82% ($22,392,614) from the 2nd quarter of 2019.
Russia’s trade surplus with the Philippines in the 2nd quarter of 2020 was $23,741,396, a 177.31% increase ($15,180,082) over the 2nd quarter of 2019.
The Philippines was Russia’s 70th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2020 (just as in the 2nd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.1368% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.1228% in the 2nd quarter of 2019).
The Philippines was Russia’s 67th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2020 (up from 71st in the 2nd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.1364% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.1018% in the 2nd quarter of 2019).
The Philippines was Russia’s 64th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2020 (down from 62nd in the 2nd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.1375% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.1584% in the 2nd quarter of 2019).
Russia’s Exports to the Philippines
The major share of Russian exports to the Philippines in the 2nd quarter of 2020 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2019) was accounted for the following product types:
- Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 50.91% of Russia’s total exports to the Philippines (9.18% in the 2nd quarter of 2019);
- Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 35.27% of Russia’s total exports to the Philippines (70.00% in the 2nd quarter of 2019);
- Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 6.72% of Russia’s total exports to the Philippines (10.99% in the 2nd quarter of 2019);
- Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 3.82% of Russia’s total exports to the Philippines (5.68% in the 2nd quarter of 2019);
- Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 2.44% of Russia’s total exports to the Philippines (2.75% in the 2nd quarter of 2019).
