Russia’s Trade with Chile

In the 3rd quarter of 2020, Russia’s trade with Chile was $194,998,120, down 30.43% ($85,306,190) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s exports to Chile in the 3rd quarter of 2020 were $12,247,522, down 64.98% ($22,720,897) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s imports from Chile in the 3rd quarter of 2020 were $182,750,598, down 25.51% ($62,585,293) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s trade deficit with Chile in the 3rd quarter of 2020 was $170,503,076, a 18.95% decrease ($39,864,396) over the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Chile was Russia’s 68th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (down from 67th in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.1428% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.1690% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).

Chile was Russia’s 119th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (down from 96th in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.0156% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.0338% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).

Chile was Russia’s 43rd largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (down from 41st in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.3155% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.3922% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).

Russia’s Exports to Chile

The major share of Russian exports to Chile in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2019) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 56.46% of Russia’s total exports to Chile (32.91% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);
  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 17.28% of Russia’s total exports to Chile (52.54% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 11.80% of Russia’s total exports to Chile (1.07% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);
  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 7.19% of Russia’s total exports to Chile (7.64% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 4.87% of Russia’s total exports to Chile (1.19% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);
