Russia’s Trade with Jordan
In the 3rd quarter of 2020, Russia’s trade with Jordan was $83,487,389, down 41.13% ($58,340,661) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.
Russia’s exports to Jordan in the 3rd quarter of 2020 were $66,587,527, down 51.06% ($69,482,505) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.
Russia’s imports from Jordan in the 3rd quarter of 2020 totaled $16,899,862, up 193.50% ($11,141,844) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.
Russia’s trade surplus with Jordan in the 3rd quarter of 2020 was $49,687,665, a 61.87% decrease ($80,624,349) over the 3rd quarter of 2019.
Jordan was Russia’s 85th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (down from 77th in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.0611% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.0855% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).
Jordan was Russia’s 75th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (down from 67th in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.0847% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.1317% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).
Jordan was Russia’s 92nd largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (up from 105th in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.0292% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0092% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).
Russia’s Exports to Jordan
The major share of Russian exports to Jordan in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2019) was accounted for the following product types:
- Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 86.91% of Russia’s total exports to Jordan (9.87% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);
- Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 5.34% of Russia’s total exports to Jordan (4.90% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);
- Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 4.96% of Russia’s total exports to Jordan (1.89% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);
- Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 1.96% of Russia’s total exports to Jordan (0.90% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);
- Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 0.19% of Russia’s total exports to Jordan (5.65% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).

- Animal or vegetable fats and oils and their cleavage products prepared edible fats; animal or vegetable waxes (HS code 15) - an increase of $3,163,928;
- Wood and articles of wood; wood charcoal (HS code 44) - an increase of $1,274,237.
The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Jordan in the 3rd quarter of 2020 over the 3rd quarter of 2019 were recorded for the following product groups:
- Electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof; sound recorders and reproducers, television image and sound recorders and reproducers, and parts and accessories of such articles (HS code 85) - a decrease of $4,509,677;
- Iron and steel (HS code 72) - a decrease of $3,073,483;
- Vehicles other than railway or tramway rolling stock, and parts and accessories thereof (HS code 87) - a decrease of $2,561,929;
- Edible vegetables and certain roots and tubers (HS code 07) - a decrease of $1,286,068;
- Paper and paperboard; articles of paper pulp, of paper or of paperboard (HS code 48) - a decrease of $544,581;
- Nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances; parts thereof (HS code 84) - a decrease of $437,802;
- Tobacco and manufactured tobacco substitutes (HS code 24) - a decrease of $292,772;
- Meat and edible meat offal (HS code 02) - a decrease of $232,588.
