Russia’s Trade with Jordan

In the 3rd quarter of 2020, Russia’s trade with Jordan was $83,487,389, down 41.13% ($58,340,661) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s exports to Jordan in the 3rd quarter of 2020 were $66,587,527, down 51.06% ($69,482,505) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s imports from Jordan in the 3rd quarter of 2020 totaled $16,899,862, up 193.50% ($11,141,844) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s trade surplus with Jordan in the 3rd quarter of 2020 was $49,687,665, a 61.87% decrease ($80,624,349) over the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Jordan was Russia’s 85th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (down from 77th in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.0611% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.0855% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).

Jordan was Russia’s 75th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (down from 67th in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.0847% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.1317% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).

Jordan was Russia’s 92nd largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (up from 105th in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.0292% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0092% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).

Russia’s Exports to Jordan

The major share of Russian exports to Jordan in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2019) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 86.91% of Russia’s total exports to Jordan (9.87% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 5.34% of Russia’s total exports to Jordan (4.90% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);
  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 4.96% of Russia’s total exports to Jordan (1.89% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Jordan in the 3rd quarter of 2020 over the 3rd quarter of 2019 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Iron and steel (HS code 72) - a decrease of $3,073,483;

  • Nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances; parts thereof (HS code 84) - a decrease of $437,802;
  • Tobacco and manufactured tobacco substitutes (HS code 24) - a decrease of $292,772;
  • Meat and edible meat offal (HS code 02) - a decrease of $232,588.

Russia’s Imports from Jordan
