Russia’s Trade with Kuwait

In the 3rd quarter of 2020, Russia’s trade with Kuwait totaled $200,278,049, up 226.08% ($138,857,543) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s exports to Kuwait in the 3rd quarter of 2020 totaled $200,274,919, up 227.85% ($139,187,879) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s imports from Kuwait in the 3rd quarter of 2020 were $3,130, down 99.06% ($330,336) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s trade surplus with Kuwait in the 3rd quarter of 2020 was $200,271,789, a 229.65% increase ($139,518,215) over the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Kuwait was Russia’s 67th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (up from 99th in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.1466% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0370% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).

Kuwait was Russia’s 53rd largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (up from 87th in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.2546% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0591% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).

Kuwait was Russia’s 179th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (down from 143rd in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.0000% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0005% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).

Russia’s Exports to Kuwait

The major share of Russian exports to Kuwait in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2019) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 86.97% of Russia’s total exports to Kuwait (95.06% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 11.44% of Russia’s total exports to Kuwait (0.26% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 0.61% of Russia’s total exports to Kuwait (1.82% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);

Russia’s Imports from Kuwait

The major share of Russian imports from Kuwait in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2019) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 97.06% of Russia’s total imports from Kuwait (0.04% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 2.94% of Russia’s total imports from Kuwait (0.71% in the 3rd quarter of 2019);
  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 0.00% of Russia’s total imports from Kuwait (99.25% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).
