Russia’s Trade with South Ossetia

In the 3rd quarter of 2020, Russia’s trade with South Ossetia totaled $23,249,823, up 7.69% ($1,659,404) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s exports to South Ossetia in the 3rd quarter of 2020 totaled $17,458,913, up 4.14% ($693,823) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s imports from South Ossetia in the 3rd quarter of 2020 totaled $5,790,910, up 20.01% ($965,581) from the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Russia’s trade surplus with South Ossetia in the 3rd quarter of 2020 was $11,668,003, a 2.28% decrease ($271,758) over the 3rd quarter of 2019.

South Ossetia was Russia’s 118th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (up from 126th in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.0170% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0130% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).

South Ossetia was Russia’s 108th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (up from 117th in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.0222% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0162% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).

South Ossetia was Russia’s 108th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (up from 111th in the 3rd quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.0100% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0077% in the 3rd quarter of 2019).

Russia’s Exports to South Ossetia

The major share of Russian exports to South Ossetia in the 3rd quarter of 2020 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2019) was accounted for the following product types:
