Russia’s Trade with Jordan

In the 4th quarter of 2020, Russia’s trade with Jordan totaled $149,131,663, up 5.04% ($7,150,801) from the 4th quarter of 2019.

Russia’s exports to Jordan in the 4th quarter of 2020 were $104,503,155, down 17.25% ($21,779,357) from the 4th quarter of 2019.

Russia’s imports from Jordan in the 4th quarter of 2020 totaled $44,628,508, up 184.29% ($28,930,158) from the 4th quarter of 2019.

Russia’s trade surplus with Jordan in the 4th quarter of 2020 was $59,874,647, a 45.86% decrease ($50,709,515) over the 4th quarter of 2019.

Jordan was Russia’s 79th largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2020 (just as in the 4th quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.0920% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0789% in the 4th quarter of 2019).

  • Iron and steel (HS code 72) - an increase of $1,803,738;
  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - an increase of $1,546,623;
  • Vehicles other than railway or tramway rolling stock, and parts and accessories thereof (HS code 87) - an increase of $1,238,956;
  • Animal or vegetable fats and oils and their cleavage products prepared edible fats; animal or vegetable waxes (HS code 15) - an increase of $1,128,649;
  • Wood and articles of wood; wood charcoal (HS code 44) - an increase of $464,484.

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Jordan in the 4th quarter of 2020 over the 4th quarter of 2019 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Edible vegetables and certain roots and tubers (HS code 07) - a decrease of $2,123,685;
  • Miscellaneous chemical products (HS code 38) - a decrease of $1,187,545.
