In the 4th quarter of 2020, Russia’s trade with Kuwait was $139,040,831, down 27.32% ($52,258,962) from the 4th quarter of 2019.

Russia’s exports to Kuwait in the 4th quarter of 2020 were $138,990,867, down 27.23% ($52,007,972) from the 4th quarter of 2019.

Russia’s imports from Kuwait in the 4th quarter of 2020 were $49,964, down 83.40% ($250,990) from the 4th quarter of 2019.

Russia’s trade surplus with Kuwait in the 4th quarter of 2020 was $138,940,903, a 27.14% decrease ($51,756,982) over the 4th quarter of 2019.

Kuwait was Russia’s 81st largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2020 (down from 73rd in the 4th quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.0858% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.1064% in the 4th quarter of 2019).

Kuwait was Russia’s 65th largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2020 (down from 62nd in the 4th quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.1472% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.1708% in the 4th quarter of 2019).

Kuwait was Russia’s 160th largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2020 (down from 141st in the 4th quarter of 2019), accounting for 0.0001% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.0004% in the 4th quarter of 2019).

Russia’s Exports to Kuwait

The major share of Russian exports to Kuwait in the 4th quarter of 2020 (and in the 4th quarter of 2019) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 97.33% of Russia’s total exports to Kuwait (97.39% in the 4th quarter of 2019);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 1.11% of Russia’s total exports to Kuwait (0.79% in the 4th quarter of 2019);
  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 0.59% of Russia’s total exports to Kuwait (1.07% in the 4th quarter of 2019).

The largest gains in Russia’s exports to Kuwait in the 4th quarter of 2020 over the 4th quarter of 2019 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Copper and articles thereof (HS code 74) - a decrease of $69,731,719;
  • Paper and paperboard; articles of paper pulp, of paper or of paperboard (HS code 48) - a decrease of $788,152;
  • Electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof; sound recorders and reproducers, television image and sound recorders and reproducers, and parts and accessories of such articles (HS code 85) - a decrease of $500,548;

Russia’s Imports from Kuwait

The major share of Russian imports from Kuwait in the 4th quarter of 2020 (and in the 4th quarter of 2019) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 99.11% of Russia’s total imports from Kuwait (98.01% in the 4th quarter of 2019);
