Russia’s Trade with Israel

In the 1st quarter of 2021, Russia’s trade with Israel totaled $570,562,910, up 16.14% ($79,303,485) from the 1st quarter of 2020.

Russia’s exports to Israel in the 1st quarter of 2021 totaled $355,433,747, up 37.51% ($96,962,807) from the 1st quarter of 2020.

Russia’s imports from Israel in the 1st quarter of 2021 were $215,129,163, down 7.59% ($17,659,322) from the 1st quarter of 2020.

Russia’s trade surplus with Israel in the 1st quarter of 2021 was $140,304,584, a 446.31% increase ($114,622,129) over the 1st quarter of 2020.

Israel was Russia’s 42nd largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2021 (up from 47th in the 1st quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.3692% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.3456% in the 1st quarter of 2020).

Israel was Russia’s 44th largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2021 (up from 52nd in the 1st quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.3853% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.2905% in the 1st quarter of 2020).

Israel was Russia’s 41st largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2021 (down from 37th in the 1st quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.3453% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.4379% in the 1st quarter of 2020).

Russia’s Exports to Israel

The major share of Russian exports to Israel in the 1st quarter of 2021 (and in the 1st quarter of 2020) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 30.62% of Russia’s total exports to Israel (16.71% in the 1st quarter of 2020);
  • Precious metals and stones (HS code 71) - 25.93% of Russia’s total exports to Israel (30.84% in the 1st quarter of 2020);
  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 17.64% of Russia’s total exports to Israel (8.52% in the 1st quarter of 2020);
