Russia’s Trade with Mexico
In the 1st quarter of 2021, Russia’s trade with Mexico totaled $633,296,970, up 17.16% ($92,774,034) from the 1st quarter of 2020.
Russia’s exports to Mexico in the 1st quarter of 2021 totaled $365,872,582, up 12.11% ($39,526,766) from the 1st quarter of 2020.
Russia’s imports from Mexico in the 1st quarter of 2021 totaled $267,424,388, up 24.86% ($53,247,268) from the 1st quarter of 2020.
Russia’s trade surplus with Mexico in the 1st quarter of 2021 was $98,448,194, a 12.23% decrease ($13,720,502) over the 1st quarter of 2020.
Mexico was Russia’s 40th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2021 (up from 45th in the 1st quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.4098% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.3803% in the 1st quarter of 2020).
Mexico was Russia’s 43rd largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2021 (up from 45th in the 1st quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.3966% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.3668% in the 1st quarter of 2020).
Mexico was Russia’s 37th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2021 (up from 41st in the 1st quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.4293% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.4029% in the 1st quarter of 2020).
Russia’s Exports to Mexico
The major share of Russian exports to Mexico in the 1st quarter of 2021 (and in the 1st quarter of 2020) was accounted for the following product types:
- Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 73.39% of Russia’s total exports to Mexico (69.80% in the 1st quarter of 2020);
- Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 20.72% of Russia’s total exports to Mexico (20.07% in the 1st quarter of 2020);
- Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 2.50% of Russia’s total exports to Mexico (2.21% in the 1st quarter of 2020);
- Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 2.19% of Russia’s total exports to Mexico (2.98% in the 1st quarter of 2020);
