Russia’s Trade with Argentina
In the 2nd quarter of 2021, Russia’s trade with Argentina totaled $403,132,999, up 56.13% ($144,932,343) from the 2nd quarter of 2020.
Russia’s exports to Argentina in the 2nd quarter of 2021 totaled $155,109,011, up 757.37% ($137,017,741) from the 2nd quarter of 2020.
Russia’s imports from Argentina in the 2nd quarter of 2021 totaled $248,023,988, up 3.30% ($7,914,602) from the 2nd quarter of 2020.
Russia’s trade deficit with Argentina in the 2nd quarter of 2021 was $92,914,977, a 58.15% decrease ($129,103,139) over the 2nd quarter of 2020.
Argentina was Russia’s 60th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2021 (up from 65th in the 2nd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.2130% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.2116% in the 2nd quarter of 2020).
Argentina was Russia’s 64th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2021 (up from 104th in the 2nd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.1348% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0259% in the 2nd quarter of 2020).
Argentina was Russia’s 41st largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2021 (down from 37th in the 2nd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.3342% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.4610% in the 2nd quarter of 2020).
Russia’s Exports to Argentina
The major share of Russian exports to Argentina in the 2nd quarter of 2021 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2020) was accounted for the following product types:
- Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 82.14% of Russia’s total exports to Argentina (68.60% in the 2nd quarter of 2020);
- Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 10.24% of Russia’s total exports to Argentina (14.39% in the 2nd quarter of 2020);
- Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 5.47% of Russia’s total exports to Argentina (2.46% in the 2nd quarter of 2020);
