Russia’s Trade with Lebanon

In the 2nd quarter of 2021, Russia’s trade with Lebanon totaled $197,867,278, up 197.23% ($131,296,082) from the 2nd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s exports to Lebanon in the 2nd quarter of 2021 totaled $190,824,625, up 197.02% ($126,578,669) from the 2nd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s imports from Lebanon in the 2nd quarter of 2021 totaled $7,042,653, up 202.88% ($4,717,413) from the 2nd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s trade surplus with Lebanon in the 2nd quarter of 2021 was $183,781,972, a 196.80% increase ($121,861,256) over the 2nd quarter of 2020.

Lebanon was Russia’s 74th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2021 (up from 88th in the 2nd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.1046% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.0546% in the 2nd quarter of 2020).

Lebanon was Russia’s 59th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2021 (up from 74th in the 2nd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.1659% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0919% in the 2nd quarter of 2020).

Lebanon was Russia’s 112th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2021 (up from 116th in the 2nd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.0095% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0045% in the 2nd quarter of 2020).

Russia’s Exports to Lebanon

The major share of Russian exports to Lebanon in the 2nd quarter of 2021 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2020) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 81.62% of Russia’s total exports to Lebanon (45.69% in the 2nd quarter of 2020);
  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 14.33% of Russia’s total exports to Lebanon (37.74% in the 2nd quarter of 2020);

  • Printed books, newspapers, pictures and other products of the printing industry; manuscripts, typescripts and plans (HS code 49) - a decrease of $2,634,162;
  • Sugars and sugar confectionery (HS code 17) - a decrease of $1,467,533;
  • Iron and steel (HS code 72) - a decrease of $1,311,067;
  • Paper and paperboard; articles of paper pulp, of paper or of paperboard (HS code 48) - a decrease of $1,248,581;
  • Miscellaneous chemical products (HS code 38) - a decrease of $928,176;
  • Cocoa and cocoa preparations (HS code 18) - a decrease of $781,812.

Russia’s Imports from Lebanon
