Russia’s Trade with Malaysia
In the 2nd quarter of 2021, Russia’s trade with Malaysia totaled $1,058,165,036, up 102.01% ($534,359,789) from the 2nd quarter of 2020.
Russia’s exports to Malaysia in the 2nd quarter of 2021 totaled $569,490,342, up 143.97% ($336,066,053) from the 2nd quarter of 2020.
Russia’s imports from Malaysia in the 2nd quarter of 2021 totaled $488,674,694, up 68.29% ($198,293,736) from the 2nd quarter of 2020.
Russia’s trade balance with Malaysia went from a deficit of $56,956,669 in the 2nd quarter of 2020, to a surplus of $80,815,648 in the 2nd quarter of 2021.
Malaysia was Russia’s 34th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2021 (up from 41st in the 2nd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.5591% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.4293% in the 2nd quarter of 2020).
Malaysia was Russia’s 39th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2021 (up from 51st in the 2nd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.4951% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.3339% in the 2nd quarter of 2020).
Malaysia was Russia’s 30th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2021 (up from 33rd in the 2nd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.6584% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.5575% in the 2nd quarter of 2020).
Russia’s Exports to Malaysia
The major share of Russian exports to Malaysia in the 2nd quarter of 2021 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2020) was accounted for the following product types:
- Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 87.20% of Russia’s total exports to Malaysia (84.61% in the 2nd quarter of 2020);
