Russia’s Trade with Tanzania

In the 2nd quarter of 2021, Russia’s trade with Tanzania was $29,381,540, down 32.14% ($13,913,408) from the 2nd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s exports to Tanzania in the 2nd quarter of 2021 were $18,127,667, down 35.84% ($10,127,959) from the 2nd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s imports from Tanzania in the 2nd quarter of 2021 were $11,253,873, down 25.17% ($3,785,449) from the 2nd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s trade surplus with Tanzania in the 2nd quarter of 2021 was $6,873,794, a 47.99% decrease ($6,342,510) over the 2nd quarter of 2020.

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Tanzania in the 2nd quarter of 2021 over the 2nd quarter of 2020 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Aluminum and articles thereof (HS code 76) - a decrease of $815,433;
  • Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes (HS code 27) - a decrease of $754,149;
  • Organic chemicals (HS code 29) - a decrease of $493,737;
  • Paper and paperboard; articles of paper pulp, of paper or of paperboard (HS code 48) - a decrease of $209,206.
