Russia’s Trade with Uruguay

In the 2nd quarter of 2021, Russia’s trade with Uruguay totaled $55,976,588, up 34.46% ($14,346,764) from the 2nd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s exports to Uruguay in the 2nd quarter of 2021 totaled $32,405,883, up 74.39% ($13,823,222) from the 2nd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s imports from Uruguay in the 2nd quarter of 2021 totaled $23,570,705, up 2.27% ($523,542) from the 2nd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s trade balance with Uruguay went from a deficit of $4,464,502 in the 2nd quarter of 2020, to a surplus of $8,835,178 in the 2nd quarter of 2021.

Uruguay was Russia’s 103rd largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2021 (down from 100th in the 2nd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.0296% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.0341% in the 2nd quarter of 2020).

The largest declines in Russia’s exports to Uruguay in the 2nd quarter of 2021 over the 2nd quarter of 2020 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Inorganic chemicals; organic or inorganic compounds of precious metals, of rare-earth metals,of radioactive elements or of isotopes (HS code 28) - a decrease of $1,069,136;
  • Salt; sulfur; earths and stone; plastering materials, lime and cement (HS code 25) - a decrease of $426,028.
