Russia’s Trade with Germany

In the 3rd quarter of 2021, Russia’s trade with Germany totaled $15,087,506,324, up 52.64% ($5,203,313,396) from the 3rd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s exports to Germany in the 3rd quarter of 2021 totaled $8,108,369,288, up 101.20% ($4,078,427,370) from the 3rd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s imports from Germany in the 3rd quarter of 2021 totaled $6,979,137,036, up 19.21% ($1,124,886,026) from the 3rd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s trade balance with Germany went from a deficit of $1,824,309,092 in the 3rd quarter of 2020, to a surplus of $1,129,232,252 in the 3rd quarter of 2021.

Germany was Russia’s 2nd largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2021 (just as in the 3rd quarter of 2020), accounting for 7.2371% of Russia’s total trade (down from 7.2374% in the 3rd quarter of 2020).

Germany was Russia’s 3rd largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2021 (up from 5th in the 3rd quarter of 2020), accounting for 6.0787% of Russia’s total exports (up from 5.1237% in the 3rd quarter of 2020).

Germany was Russia’s 2nd largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2021 (just as in the 3rd quarter of 2020), accounting for 9.2950% of Russia’s total imports (down from 10.1078% in the 3rd quarter of 2020).

Russia’s Exports to Germany

The major share of Russian exports to Germany in the 3rd quarter of 2021 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2020) was accounted for the following product types:
