Russia’s Trade with Ireland

In the 3rd quarter of 2021, Russia’s trade with Ireland totaled $653,735,984, up 75.68% ($281,626,625) from the 3rd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s exports to Ireland in the 3rd quarter of 2021 totaled $73,972,964, up 128.77% ($41,637,545) from the 3rd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s imports from Ireland in the 3rd quarter of 2021 totaled $579,763,020, up 70.63% ($239,989,080) from the 3rd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s trade deficit with Ireland in the 3rd quarter of 2021 was $505,790,056, a 64.52% increase ($198,351,535) over the 3rd quarter of 2020.

Ireland was Russia’s 51st largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2021 (up from 54th in the 3rd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.3136% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.2725% in the 3rd quarter of 2020).

Ireland was Russia’s 84th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2021 (up from 95th in the 3rd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.0555% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0411% in the 3rd quarter of 2020).

Ireland was Russia’s 25th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2021 (up from 32nd in the 3rd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.7721% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.5866% in the 3rd quarter of 2020).

Russia’s Exports to Ireland

The major share of Russian exports to Ireland in the 3rd quarter of 2021 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2020) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 43.13% of Russia’s total exports to Ireland (26.77% in the 3rd quarter of 2020);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 30.90% of Russia’s total exports to Ireland (51.86% in the 3rd quarter of 2020);
  • Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 8.92% of Russia’s total exports to Ireland (8.60% in the 3rd quarter of 2020);
