Russia’s Trade with Mexico
In the 3rd quarter of 2021, Russia’s trade with Mexico totaled $1,970,909,345, up 388.68% ($1,567,596,657) from the 3rd quarter of 2020.
Russia’s exports to Mexico in the 3rd quarter of 2021 totaled $1,628,246,935, up 1,022.43% ($1,483,182,362) from the 3rd quarter of 2020.
Russia’s imports from Mexico in the 3rd quarter of 2021 totaled $342,662,410, up 32.69% ($84,414,295) from the 3rd quarter of 2020.
Russia’s trade balance with Mexico went from a deficit of $113,183,542 in the 3rd quarter of 2020, to a surplus of $1,285,584,525 in the 3rd quarter of 2021.
Mexico was Russia’s 19th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2021 (up from 51st in the 3rd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.9454% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.2953% in the 3rd quarter of 2020).
Mexico was Russia’s 18th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2021 (up from 62nd in the 3rd quarter of 2020), accounting for 1.2207% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.1844% in the 3rd quarter of 2020).
Mexico was Russia’s 34th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2021 (up from 36th in the 3rd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.4564% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.4459% in the 3rd quarter of 2020).
Russia’s Exports to Mexico
The major share of Russian exports to Mexico in the 3rd quarter of 2021 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2020) was accounted for the following product types:
- Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 90.52% of Russia’s total exports to Mexico (36.56% in the 3rd quarter of 2020);
- Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 7.80% of Russia’s total exports to Mexico (42.73% in the 3rd quarter of 2020);
- Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 0.62% of Russia’s total exports to Mexico (11.32% in the 3rd quarter of 2020);
- Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 0.48% of Russia’s total exports to Mexico (5.02% in the 3rd quarter of 2020);
