Russia’s Trade with Portugal

In the 3rd quarter of 2021, Russia’s trade with Portugal totaled $333,208,882, up 91.55% ($159,252,066) from the 3rd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s exports to Portugal in the 3rd quarter of 2021 totaled $161,423,916, up 315.40% ($122,564,146) from the 3rd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s imports from Portugal in the 3rd quarter of 2021 totaled $171,784,966, up 27.16% ($36,687,920) from the 3rd quarter of 2020.

Russia’s trade deficit with Portugal in the 3rd quarter of 2021 was $10,361,050, a 89.23% decrease ($85,876,226) over the 3rd quarter of 2020.

Portugal was Russia’s 67th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2021 (up from 71st in the 3rd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.1598% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.1274% in the 3rd quarter of 2020).

Portugal was Russia’s 67th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2021 (up from 88th in the 3rd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.1210% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.0494% in the 3rd quarter of 2020).

Portugal was Russia’s 50th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2021 (up from 53rd in the 3rd quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.2288% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.2333% in the 3rd quarter of 2020).

Russia’s Exports to Portugal

The major share of Russian exports to Portugal in the 3rd quarter of 2021 (and in the 3rd quarter of 2020) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 55.63% of Russia’s total exports to Portugal (7.02% in the 3rd quarter of 2020);
  • Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 20.90% of Russia’s total exports to Portugal (44.83% in the 3rd quarter of 2020);
