Russia’s Trade with Argentina

In the 4th quarter of 2021, Russia’s trade with Argentina totaled $363,100,024, up 65.09% ($143,152,841) from the 4th quarter of 2020.

Russia’s exports to Argentina in the 4th quarter of 2021 totaled $43,867,946, up 12.19% ($4,766,748) from the 4th quarter of 2020.

Russia’s imports from Argentina in the 4th quarter of 2021 totaled $319,232,078, up 76.52% ($138,386,093) from the 4th quarter of 2020.

Russia’s trade deficit with Argentina in the 4th quarter of 2021 was $275,364,132, a 94.27% increase ($133,619,345) over the 4th quarter of 2020.

Argentina was Russia’s 64th largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2021 (up from 69th in the 4th quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.1562% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.1357% in the 4th quarter of 2020).

Argentina was Russia’s 100th largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2021 (down from 91st in the 4th quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.0291% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.0414% in the 4th quarter of 2020).

Argentina was Russia’s 39th largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2021 (up from 46th in the 4th quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.3900% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.2674% in the 4th quarter of 2020).

Russia’s Exports to Argentina

The major share of Russian exports to Argentina in the 4th quarter of 2021 (and in the 4th quarter of 2020) was accounted for the following product types:

Russia’s Imports from Argentina

The major share of Russian imports from Argentina in the 4th quarter of 2021 (and in the 4th quarter of 2020) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 96.19% of Russia’s total imports from Argentina (91.53% in the 4th quarter of 2020);
  • Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 1.97% of Russia’s total imports from Argentina (4.26% in the 4th quarter of 2020);
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles (HS codes 84-90) - 1.40% of Russia’s total imports from Argentina (2.68% in the 4th quarter of 2020);
