Russia’s Trade with Mexico
In the 4th quarter of 2021, Russia’s trade with Mexico totaled $1,317,800,357, up 122.14% ($724,565,010) from the 4th quarter of 2020.
Russia’s exports to Mexico in the 4th quarter of 2021 totaled $935,654,653, up 258.29% ($674,509,066) from the 4th quarter of 2020.
Russia’s imports from Mexico in the 4th quarter of 2021 totaled $382,145,704, up 15.07% ($50,055,944) from the 4th quarter of 2020.
Russia’s trade balance with Mexico went from a deficit of $70,944,173 in the 4th quarter of 2020, to a surplus of $553,508,949 in the 4th quarter of 2021.
Mexico was Russia’s 30th largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2021 (up from 47th in the 4th quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.5669% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.3661% in the 4th quarter of 2020).
Mexico was Russia’s 34th largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2021 (up from 52nd in the 4th quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.6213% of Russia’s total exports (up from 0.2766% in the 4th quarter of 2020).
Mexico was Russia’s 35th largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2021 (just as in the 4th quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.4669% of Russia’s total imports (down from 0.4910% in the 4th quarter of 2020).
Russia’s Exports to Mexico
The major share of Russian exports to Mexico in the 4th quarter of 2021 (and in the 4th quarter of 2020) was accounted for the following product types:
- Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 66.11% of Russia’s total exports to Mexico (66.90% in the 4th quarter of 2020);
- Chemical products (HS codes 28-40) - 31.52% of Russia’s total exports to Mexico (24.21% in the 4th quarter of 2020);
- Wood and wood products (HS codes 44-49) - 1.11% of Russia’s total exports to Mexico (4.58% in the 4th quarter of 2020);
