Russia’s Trade with Saudi Arabia
In the 4th quarter of 2021, Russia’s trade with Saudi Arabia totaled $729,923,724, up 53.70% ($255,022,824) from the 4th quarter of 2020.
Russia’s exports to Saudi Arabia in the 4th quarter of 2021 totaled $639,576,960, up 55.45% ($228,151,260) from the 4th quarter of 2020.
Russia’s imports from Saudi Arabia in the 4th quarter of 2021 totaled $90,346,764, up 42.33% ($26,871,564) from the 4th quarter of 2020.
Russia’s trade surplus with Saudi Arabia in the 4th quarter of 2021 was $549,230,196, a 57.85% increase ($201,279,696) over the 4th quarter of 2020.
Saudi Arabia was Russia’s 50th largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2021 (up from 53rd in the 4th quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.3140% of Russia’s total trade (up from 0.2930% in the 4th quarter of 2020).
Saudi Arabia was Russia’s 44th largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2021 (down from 43rd in the 4th quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.4247% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.4357% in the 4th quarter of 2020).
Saudi Arabia was Russia’s 68th largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2021 (up from 72nd in the 4th quarter of 2020), accounting for 0.1104% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0939% in the 4th quarter of 2020).
Russia’s Exports to Saudi Arabia
The major share of Russian exports to Saudi Arabia in the 4th quarter of 2021 (and in the 4th quarter of 2020) was accounted for the following product types:

- Food products and agricultural raw materials (HS codes 01-24) - 29.15% of Russia’s total exports to Saudi Arabia (44.89% in the 4th quarter of 2020);
- Metals and products from them (HS codes 72-83) - 23.23% of Russia’s total exports to Saudi Arabia (5.11% in the 4th quarter of 2020);
