Russia’s Trade with Afghanistan

In 2021, Russia’s trade with Afghanistan was $86,625,145, down 44.86% ($70,470,710) from 2020.

Russia’s exports to Afghanistan in 2021 were $81,902,991, down 46.66% ($71,659,508) from 2020.

Russia’s imports from Afghanistan in 2021 totaled $4,722,154, up 33.65% ($1,188,798) from 2020.

Russia’s trade surplus with Afghanistan in 2021 was $77,180,837, a 48.56% decrease ($72,848,306) over 2020.

Afghanistan was Russia’s 133rd largest trading partner in 2021 (down from 106th in 2020), accounting for 0.0110% of Russia’s total trade (down from 0.0277% in 2020).

Afghanistan was Russia’s 120th largest export market in 2021 (down from 93rd in 2020), accounting for 0.0167% of Russia’s total exports (down from 0.0456% in 2020).

Afghanistan was Russia’s 131st largest supplier in 2021 (down from 130th in 2020), accounting for 0.0016% of Russia’s total imports (up from 0.0015% in 2020).

  • Nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances; parts thereof (HS code 84) - an increase of $17,817.
