The top five Russia’s trade partners in North America in the 3rd quarter of 2016 were the US (4.5081% of Russia’s total foreign trade), Mexico (0.3589%), Canada (0.2252%), Trinidad and Tobago (0.2061%), and Cuba (0.0442%);

The top five Russia’s export markets in North America in the 3rd quarter of 2016 were the US (3.4134% of Russia’s total exports), Mexico (0.3930%), Trinidad and Tobago (0.3492%), Canada (0.1694%), and Cuba (0.0526%);

The top five Russia’s import suppliers from North America in the 3rd quarter of 2016 were the US (6.0841% of Russia’s total imports), Mexico (0.3098%), Canada (0.3054%), Puerto Rico (0.0884%), and Cuba (0.0322%).

The most notable changes in Russia's trade with the countries of North America in the 3rd quarter of 2016 over the 3rd quarter of 2015:

  • The share of Trinidad and Tobago in Russia’s total exports rose 2.8-fold from 0.1267% in the 3rd quarter of the 2015 to 0.3492% in the 3rd quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of Nicaragua in Russia’s total exports rose 15.9-fold from 0.0012% in the 3rd quarter of the 2015 to 0.0191% in the 3rd quarter of the 2016;
  • The share of the US in Russia’s total imports rose from 4.9941% in the 3rd quarter of the 2015 to 6.0841% in the 3rd quarter of the 2016.
