The top ten Russia’s trade partners in Asia in 2019 were China (16.6405% of Russia’s total foreign trade), Turkey (3.9058%), South Korea (3.6545%), Japan (3.0475%), Kazakhstan (2.9438%), India (1.6848%), Taiwan (0.7877%), Uzbekistan (0.7630%), Vietnam (0.7380%), and Azerbaijan (0.4755%);

The top ten Russia’s export markets in Asia in 2019 were China (13.4330% of Russia’s total exports), Turkey (4.9821%), South Korea (3.8690%), Kazakhstan (3.3235%), Japan (2.6853%), India (1.7286%), Uzbekistan (0.9244%), Taiwan (0.7632%), Azerbaijan (0.5470%), and Singapore (0.5439%);

The top ten Russia’s import suppliers from Asia in 2019 were China (22.2032% of Russia’s total imports), Japan (3.6756%), South Korea (3.2824%), Kazakhstan (2.2852%), Turkey (2.0391%), India (1.6087%), Vietnam (1.5518%), Taiwan (0.8302%), Malaysia (0.7199%), and Thailand (0.7194%).

The most notable changes in Russia's trade with the countries of Asia in 2019 over 2018:

  • The share of Vietnam in Russia’s total exports declined 2.0-fold from 0.5461% in 2018 to 0.2687% in 2019;
  • The share of Iraq in Russia’s total exports declined 2.7-fold from 0.1701% in 2018 to 0.0625% in 2019;
  • The share of Saudi Arabia in Russia’s total exports rose from 0.1695% in 2018 to 0.3318% in 2019.
