The major trading partners of Russia in Asia in the 4th quarter of 2017:

The top ten Russia’s trade partners in Asia in the 4th quarter of 2017 were China (15,1829% of Russia’s total foreign trade), Turkey (3.7379%), Japan (2.9305%), Kazakhstan (2.7923%), South Korea (2.5601%), India (1.6497%), Vietnam (1.0484%), Taiwan (0.8801%), Singapore (0.8013%), and Uzbekistan (0.7272%);

The top ten Russia’s export markets in Asia in the 4th quarter of 2017 were China (11.7241% of Russia’s total exports), Turkey (4.9326%), Kazakhstan (3.3217%), South Korea (2.6885%), Japan (2.6752%), India (1.9632%), Iraq (1.1304%), Uzbekistan (0.9044%), Taiwan (0.9009%), and Vietnam (0.7708%);

The top ten Russia’s import suppliers from Asia in the 4th quarter of 2017 were China (20.7180% of Russia’s total imports), Japan (3.3391%), South Korea (2.3546%), Kazakhstan (1.9451%), Turkey (1.8260%), Vietnam (1.4927%), Indonesia (1.3985%), India (1.1482%), Singapore (1.0063%), and Thailand (0.9419%).

The most notable changes in Russia's trade with the countries of Asia in the 4th quarter of 2017 over the 4th quarter of 2016:

  • The share of Malaysia in Russia’s total exports declined 3.0-fold from 0.3639% in the 4th quarter of the 2016 to 0.1217% in the 4th quarter of the 2017;
  • The share of Iraq in Russia’s total exports rose 3.7-fold from 0.3045% in the 4th quarter of the 2016 to 1.1304% in the 4th quarter of the 2017;
  • The share of the United Arab Emirates in Russia’s total exports rose 2.1-fold from 0.2358% in the 4th quarter of the 2016 to 0.4890% in the 4th quarter of the 2017;
  • The share of Myanmar (Burma) in Russia’s total exports declined 4.1-fold from 0.1823% in the 4th quarter of the 2016 to 0.0442% in the 4th quarter of the 2017;
  • The share of Indonesia in Russia’s total exports rose 2.1-fold from 0.1411% in the 4th quarter of the 2016 to 0.2959% in the 4th quarter of the 2017;
  • The share of Saudi Arabia in Russia’s total exports rose 3.1-fold from 0.0662% in the 4th quarter of the 2016 to 0.2073% in the 4th quarter of the 2017;
  • The share of North Korea in Russia’s total exports declined 8.3-fold from 0.0267% in the 4th quarter of the 2016 to 0.0032% in the 4th quarter of the 2017;
  • The share of South Korea in Russia’s total imports declined from 2.8628% in the 4th quarter of the 2016 to 2.3546% in the 4th quarter of the 2017;
  • The share of Singapore in Russia’s total imports rose 3.9-fold from 0.2553% in the 4th quarter of the 2016 to 1.0063% in the 4th quarter of the 2017;
  • The share of North Korea in Russia’s total imports declined 5.3-fold from 0.0053% in the 4th quarter of the 2016 to 0.0010% in the 4th quarter of the 2017.
